Terms of Use

These terms describe what you agree to when you order from the studio, and what the studio commits to in return. They are written around how handmade stoneware actually behaves: clay moves, glazes break, and kilns decide a few things on their own.

What you accept when ordering

Pieces are made in limited counts, so each one carries small differences in height, rim shape, and glaze pooling. By placing an order you accept that no two pieces are identical and that the listing photos show one example from the run, not the exact item you receive.

What the studio commits to

Every listing records the clay body, glaze family, approximate dimensions, food-safe finish, and firing type. If a detail in the listing turns out to be wrong, the studio will correct it and work with you on a fair resolution before anything else.

Review before you buy

Please read the dimensions and finish notes before ordering. Stoneware is durable but not unbreakable, and it does not enjoy sudden temperature changes. Avoid moving a piece straight from the freezer to a hot oven, and let it cool before washing.

Cancellations from the studio side

A piece can crack in the kiln or break during packing. If that happens, the studio may cancel your order and issue a full refund. You will be told which piece was affected and whether a similar one is coming in the next firing.

Custom and wholesale orders

Made-to-order dinnerware and wholesale quantities use separate terms, including lead times and approval steps. Contact the studio with the requested quantity, form, and glaze direction so those conditions can be agreed before work begins.

Limits and honest claims

The studio does not promise lifetime performance, heat resistance beyond normal kitchen use, or that a glaze will look the same years from now. Wear, crazing, and surface changes are part of living with handmade pottery.

If something goes wrong

Talk to the studio first. Disputes are handled directly, with the order details and photos of the piece in hand, before any third-party step is taken. Most issues are settled by replacing the piece or refunding it.

Changes to these terms

These terms can be updated as the studio's process or legal requirements change. The version in effect when you place an order is the one that applies to that order. Continued use of the site means you accept the current version.
